2014 3.0tdi 204 exhaust diameter?

I want to order a bolt on exhaust bypass valve which i want to position after the centre silencer and need to know the exhaust external diameter, but i can't find it anywhere, does anyone know? I don't have any external calipers to measure it myself.

Just measure the circumstance and divide by Pi.

Was hoping to avoid having to lay under the car as i leave for work at half 4 and get home after dark, and my measuring with a bit of string with a torch in my mouth won't be at all accurate. Would have thought someone on here would know as the car has been around for 6 years now, and can't believe there is absolutely no measurments online! Guess i'll have to buy some calipers.

Would it not be the internal diameter that’s important as the steel could be an inch thick?
What’s the purpose of the bypass valve?
