    My rear parking sensors....

when I engage reverse there is a beep; not the long warning beep which is usual when there's a defective sensor. The sensor light near the gear lever comes on steady, (no flashing) to indicate they are operating. Everything appears to be normal up to this point.

my husband has listened for the ticking - nothing at all from all 4 rears.

does anyone know if there's a control unit or fuses anywhere (other than the drivers side end of the dash), or has anyone had the same happen?

    Thanks, all advice is welcomed

I wasn't aware Audi ever sold an A6 C6 with a 2.5 litre engine? Do you mean a 2.7? Are you sure you have a C6 not a C5? Might make a difference to any suggested answers too as the C6 and C5 have different electrical systems...

    Cheers!

Ive found that just one sensor down on the A6 C6 seems to take the whole lot out, i have removed the 4 rear and plugged in one at a time to listen for a tick. When you have a working one test all 4 plugs. Unfortunately i find VCDS doesnt help much, mine said all the rear were short to ground. I cleared the faults and lost communication with the module.
Stripped the lot out couldn’t see anything, turns out it was one sensor. Replaced it and re fitted, not had any further problems in 10 months.
