I've just purchased a 2010 Q7 3.0 tdi with 83K on the clock which promptly broke down before I could get it home. After having the injectors replaced it seems to run well but has a very odd characteristic. Under heavy acceleration at around 2,000 rpm in gear 8 I experience resonance. It doesn't happen if you progressively accelerate but I can replicate the issue each time. Using the paddle shifts to keep the revs above 2000 eliminates the resonance but is this characteristic or a problem. I'd be grateful of any suggestions.
