I keep an empty 1L evian bottle in my garage. I'm sure any make would do.. I buy the concentrated screenwash from Halfords and fill the bottle 50/50 with water, which is good for -10 C and fill up the washer bottle a litre at a time. Can take a few bottle-fulls, but rarely spill any on the car.

Good grief NO... you can't use a non-designer water bottle with an Audi!

    + 1 for the funnel.

I’d do the same and take the mesh filter out and then put it back in. With the funnel pushed in it is a lot easier to fill up.

Am I being really dense? If people are taking the mesh filter out to fill up the screen wash - what's the point of it being there? With the cap on, nothing is going to get in the reservoir that shouldn't be there. I assumed it is there to stop any debris getting whilst filling, so removing it seems wrong.

Personally I don’t know what the issue is. Don’t think I’ve ever spilt any and the A7 filler cap is in an equally rubbish position

    i second this.
With the newer spray type nozzles rather than the older stream type the smallest bit of grit is gonna block it.
