Evening all,

I am new here so I apologise if this has already been covered. I have looked for info on this but cannot find any.

I bought a 96 Sharan VR6 yesterday. It has a number of faults I am trying to tackle, one of which is the brake fluid warning light. I would like to check the level of brake fluid in the reservoir to determine whether it needs topping up to put the light out, but I cannot locate the reservoir! According to the handbook that luckily came with the car it suggests that it should be located adjacent to the coolant header tank. I can see the master cylinder below the coolant tank, but no trace of a reservoir anywhere! Am I going a bit mad? I’m guessing it is cunningly hidden due to a lack of space because of the V6 lump - could anyone on here kindly put me out of my misery please?

Many thanks,

Kind regards, Jerry
