    hi need some help.

my abs and esp light has been on for a few years on and off intermittently replaced rear right sensor went off then come back on again replaced abs module programmed it was off for a week then back on again.
after a few months both abs and esp light have been on constantly for like 8 months.

put it on vag it said rear left sensor needed changing changed that cleared codes was ok for 5 mins then light was back on again but its intermittent again.

    getting these error codes

2 Faults Found:01826 - Sensor for Steering Angle (G85); Supply Voltage Terminal 30

    35-00 - -

    00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
    37-00 - Faulty

plus steering wheel is very hard to turn on right hand side when car is cold.

You need to do the Basic Settings procedure laid out in the Ross Tech Wiki.

I’m getting the exact same fault codes done the basic setting procedure esp light went off then come back after drive same codes. So I’m thinking of changing the steering sensor at the moment haven’t got the time but that’s my next thing to do.

I would check the output from and the centre point reading of the sensor before replacing it, the tracking being set incorrectly can cause the fault code.
