    Hi guys,

Whilst I'm happy with the performance of my car, I've had an offer from a local firm to have it remapped, their map would bring the car up form 150 to 170 bhp.

I wondered if anyone has any experience of this being done and what impact it had on the car itself, I have the eco setting where it turns off two cylinders to save fuel, would this be an issue.

Also whats the clutches like on these engines?

    Thanks
    H

    Hi H,

We've done a few remaps on the 1.4 TSI's and that power gain is pretty achievable. The Eco setting still works like normal. We've not seen an issue with the clutch with this sort of gain.

    I hope that helps.

    How many pound notes ?

170 is ultra conservative , conservative is 175 bhp , although this isn't the important figure...
