    Hi All,

Picked up my new Le Mans yesterday - WOW I am so chuffed with it!!

The one "complaint" I do have however is the range for the central locking, you have to be right next to the car to lock/unlock
it. This isn't the same as on our A4 where I can lock it from standing in the living room!!

This seems a bit silly when the car has coming home lights, a bit pointless if you can't get them to work until you're practically in the car!!

    Can this be improved somehow?

    Thanks

    an otherwise incredibly please owner!!

    Mike.

Same with both remotes. Will check the plenum chamber.......don't tell me the A6's have the same problem as the A4's with it flooding...!! Is the ECU in there?

Think its any car with a plenum really... mine filled up then failed to start. Once drained it was ok... then the ecu relay went. Pop the battery and measure should be 3.3 min.

the battery in the remote, should be a 3,3v coin cell. i would be surprised if there is not a you tube video on it.

Does anyone know if this could be some sort of security feature? not sure how that would work however?

oh when you press the button from a distance what does the red light do on the key?
a single flash is an acknowledgment of communication to the car, a longer flash means the key did not chat to the car.

I would start by replacing the remote battery with a new one

    Cheers!

Replaced the battery - no difference what so ever, instead of a fast flashing light it now flashes about every second, still only opens the car if you are right next to it!!
