Andy slightly off topic - how are the tyres getting on at 25k? Are you on a second set of boots?

Hey Nemo. Yeah new set of fronts after 23k. Rears still good.

For those interested..... As for brake pads. All done. Just front pads were needed. £330 all in (parts / labour / vat etc)

    Merry Xmas one and all.

    Andy.

Hi, info for the future: well known Italian producer just started offering ceramic pads for Q7 4M. Front and rear. I don’t know the price yet, they should be CA 25% premium. I was useing ceramic pads in my previous Q7 4L. It is a big difference; last longer, no dust on wheels, no difference in brakeing vs OEM.

Bringing an old thread up to life again - anyone have any recent costs at all?

I had my warning light pop up today so need to make some calls...

    Look here: *******.co.uk
Textar on the front and TRW on the rear are originally installed in Q7. Of course with Audi logo for which we have to pay premium. The same pads but without Audi logo you can buy much cheaper.

I have recently replaced the front discs and pads at a dealership just before xmas.. the initial cost was higher but when I referred them to the Audi fixed price services, they honoured the price of £749 for the lot. Rear pads and discs would be £575; Rear pads only £349; front pads only £345.

What did you end up paying?

Got them to do at the fixed price also after saying thanks and no thanks to initial quote - however fixed for front is £949 and rears at £625 now so it’s obvious increased for the new year
