Where abouts are you guys wiring in your dash cams ? I have an amazon cheapy which I have mounted to the screen ok but I obviously want to hide the wire and feed it directly in to a fuse box. I’m not bothered about it being live all the time - I’d rather it switched off with the car .
    Many thanks

Wired into the fuse box. Used one of the add a fuse kits to the cigarette lighter fuse.

    I'd suggest something like this

New 12V 10A Car Cigar Cigarette Lighter Female In-Line Socket Plug Connector | eBay

And hard wire this socket to a switched supply.
It saves you cutting any supplied cables with your dashcam....you simply wire in the socket and plug in as normal. But put a 3A or 5A (maximum) in line fuse on the positive terminal.

I am going through the same thing. I have managed to open a side panel a little bit and push the wire behind the airbag. I now need find out which fuse to use on the passenger side fuse box.

I tried infotainment display and heads up display as a source but they seem to be constant power fuses. Anyone knows which fuse is a switched Power fuse on the passenger side fuse box?
