My S-Line Q7 is on route to the dealer and hopefully will be with me in 2-3 weeks. 3 options in retrospect I wish I picked were the virtual cockpit, reversing camera, and running boards (just because they look cool - I still might get these fitted). How much am I going to wish I had these? In regards to the first 2, do you often fully use these or could you have 'made do'? Thanks

For me it’s the Heated Wheel and potentially Advanced Key

Virtual Cockpit is very nice but if you’ve never had it you shouldn’t miss it

Reversing Cam - hmm it’s a big car

Running Boards - love mine but more so as it’s a nice step for the little ones to climb in and out of the car

Thanks Nemo78, I'm beginning to have cold sweats thinking of the morning nursery drop off - not much space at all and requires some carful maneuvering; I have a s-max titanium x at the moment, I'm hoping the size transition won't be too bad!

I couldn't do without my reversing camera, its a must on a car the size of a Q7. As for the cockpit it will make it more desirable when selling but in all honesty I don't use mine much. I wish I had selected the flat bottom steering wheel.
But what ever boxes you have ticked I am sure you will find the car exceeds your expectations.

Thanks - looks like thats a decision I'm going to regret!!! These are the options I did add:

21" 5 twin spoke design alloy wheels in titanium look with gloss turned finish

3 Spoke sports multifunction flat bottomed leather steering wheel

    Black Styling Pack - Q7

Fuel tank - 85 litres wth AdBlue tank

Deletion of engine technology badges at rear

    Audi Entertainment Mobile

… might need to look into a retrofit for the camera

It'll have sensors so shouldn't miss the camera too much.

    Hi

    I came from a ford S-Max titanium X

For me I found I could judge the car width more easy with the Q7 the only down side going from the s-max to the Q was there is less storage ie no under floor storage in the second row or the boot with the Q

Out of you list like nemo id say the rear view camera
It helps a lot with parking and reverse and the 360 deg over view on the rear camera is great

Running boards are good for you do kids and the old people lol as I don’t have them and they keep leaving foot prints on my plastic door trim hmmm

VC is very cool but if you never had you won’t miss is more for looks and showing off lol

Thanks all - that was my take on the VC, probably a bit overkill but nevertheless a great talking piece and extra wow factor
