    New here so hi!

I have just bought a 2010 A4 Avant Special Ed and I'm wanting some footwell lights. Theres non already in but wouldn't mind some subtle red in the footwells. I previously had a Civic Type-R FN2 and I tapped into the wiring from the interior light (Dome light) so there all worked in sequence and it looked great.

Does anyone know if this can be done? Or point in in the direction of locating this wire? Any plans wiring diagrams or help would be great!

    Thanks!

Personally I'd use an add a fuse in the fuse box. Less messing about.

I’ve thought this but I don’t really want them on all the time. I’d rather them just come on with the interior light and go off with them if that makes sense?

Cheers for those! I’ve read through all of them to see what I can come up with.

I was wondering if it would bring an error up.

I’m not that up on all this Vag-com stuff so not really sure what I’m doing there.

Probably not as led normally use only 1,5-3w each...and some people have added rear ones to front circuit- also no errors etc!

Why not tap into the fuse for interior lights then. Doesn't have to be a permanent live fuse you add onto. I went this route in my brother's car after using one to install my dash camera.

Yep good idea, but he wants lights work as interior ones(not on when driving etc), so "supply" should be taken after master switch i guess...

So don't you think tapping into those wires will work how I want?
If it's going to be too complicated to do what I need, then I'll just take power from a fuse. Which would be the best you think? So they go off when the ignition does?

This is up do you, what final result you like...

If you want 100% dublicate interior lights(via master switch)...

    1. take supply from a "main" bulb terminal...but you need to check with multimeter which side is + or - ...pita to tap or solder there!
2.smaller 4pin connector is the one to the rear reading lights...by logic one wire should be from masterswitch(as you can control rear dome lights via front switch also) and one should be same as for bigger connector...which is which...no idea...there is red and red-blue...one of them should have power if car is unlocked and other should have power only if master switch is on or in auto position(engine not running)...so you can check this with multimeter and tap into this one which is connected to the main switch...could be wrong
