    MY64 A1 TSFI 185bhp sportsback 7 speed DSG oil change or not is the question , Audi say not needed but its done nearly 38k Its code for gearbox is QHV
    Can/Does this need oil and filter change for DSG as i want to keep the car so i need to look after it.

    Yes. If something goes wrong with the gearbox and you haven't followed the correct oil change intervals, Audi will not cover the repair. The recommended interval for the DSG or S tronic is 38k.

    Yes thats the problem local dealer says its sealed for life and doesn't need a oil and filter transmission change so if i change it and it goes wrong will the decline warranty

    The A1 must have a different service schedule for the gearbox. It's a hard call as you are caught between a rock and a hard place. I thought they changed the oil in that box to mineral which definitely isn't going to last.

    Update,

    Service , MOT , brake fluid , spark plugs, rear brake pads and gearbox dsg oil change done £580 dealer £850 ish 38k miles 14plate so hopefully ok for another 40k as wife loves the car.
    As its now 3 years old, the cynic in me that says Audi say its sealed for life means nothing as wife says its now smoother to drive so transmission oil change has made a difference.
