Its a bit late now I know- but I really like the Uniroyal Rain Sport 3, just put them on with the 18" wheels and really find them quiet and comfortable as well as grippy in the wet- very happy indeed!

For what it's worth, my car, A6 Avant SE Executive on 17" wheel came from the factory with Michelin Primacy 3. Due to a puncture (Stanley knife blade pieces!) on the rear left tyre I decided to change the tyres on the rear wheels and move them to the front. At the time of the puncture my Michelins, who were swapped front-to-rear at 9,000 miles, had done 18,000 miles and still had 4mm thread each. The new tyres are Good Year Eagle F1 AS3, fitted on the front, as I said. I second the opinion of artheb that they are not very grippy, certainly nowhere near as grippy as the Michelin Primacy 3s. I have far more wheel spin than before, and in the bends they are not very assuring. It was even worse when new, getting significant oversteer, now they are better but only just. After 2,000 miles they have already lost nearly 2mm of thread, so they will not go on my car again. Wheel spin when accelerating from about 30mph toward motorway speed on a 2.0 Ultra with skidding? I don't feel safe driving them. They are more quiet, though, but only after they warm up, from cold they are noisier than the Michelin Primacy 3. Hope this helps someone.

I have just replaced my fronts tyres, they where The Uniroyal Rain Sport 3's. I managed 20k and they where down to 2.5mm, the rears are about 4mm with same mileage. My car is fwd only and I tow a caravan around 3k a year. Once winter is over I will be fitting another set of the Uniroyal RS3's. They are £100 each for size 225/55/17 101W tyres

    Hello Folks!

We talk a lot about tyres ... I have done about 25k miles with possibly another 6k mls to go on my Goodyear eagle F1 asymmetric 3 tyres. I started looking for replacement and narrowed down to two options. I’m thinking of getting the same tyres again or switching to Uniroyal rainsport 3. The only reason I consider the uniroyal is pretty poor wet grip on Goodyears.

Has anyone changed from Goodyear to Uniroyal? Have you noticed:
    - increased noise?
    - difference in drive comfort ?
    - better wet grip?
    - difference in a tyre wear?

    Any comments appreciated .

    Thanks!

I should have done that myself thanks for your time linking both reviews. I’ll stick with Goodyear...

The Uniroyal RS3 are a bit of a gimmick , a keen price but offset by high wear .

The good summer tyres are superb in the wet as they have epic rain channels .

Shark skin technology , lol .

Are those pictures of Uniroyal new and worn? What mileage was done on them?
