    Hi All,

I’ve got a MY2018 GT estate on order with the 190 engine and DSG. Can any of you current owners let me know what to expect in terms of MPG? I do approx 35000 miles per year 70% motorway.
I currently run a MY2015 GT estate with the 1.6 manual (great car, crap engine! &#128512 and get mid-low 50’s on the long term. I’ve recently opted out of the company fuel card to stop being rinsed by the taxman and I’m just wondering how the 190 with DSG will compare.
The 1.6 needs to be worked quite hard for the size of car so I was hoping the 190 might return something similar, maybe slightly under? Can anyone confirm?

For info the car I’ve ordered (delivery late Jan) is the following:
    GT estate 190 SCR engine
    DSG box
    Atlantic Blue
    Sports Pack
Full Nappa Titan black leather interior.

    Thanks in advance

    Neil

I’ve not got the same engine but I’m interested to hear others experience so far although compared to the skoda forum I used to frequent this is a pretty quiet place.

FWIW I’ve had my 2.0 (150) manual GT estate for a month now. Done over 1500 miles (only 2 tank fulls though!) I’m on 52/53mpg 90% motorway commutes. Whilst it’s less than what my 1.6 Octavia would do, that had done 50,000 miles mind, it’s not a bad start and will hopefully improve over time.

Given how keenly mine drinks when accelerating the 190, I hope, will be slightly slower. Not surprisingly I get better mpg at 70-75mph than I did on the Octavia. It sits at 1800 rpm at 70mph.

I have Passat with the same engine and DSG box. I get 50mpg at worst and 55mpg at best over 9000kms usage.

    It is quiet around here!

We have the 150 manual so not a direct comparison and only get 44mpg but the car does lots of short trips - on the motorway cruising at 75 it seems to get about 52-54mpg.

It is a fantastic car, I’m utterly delighted with it.

I've got the 190 and get mid 40s mpg on my commute which is half dual carriageway and half country roads. I've never been light footed either
