I can live without street view but hope we don’t lose the google earth overlay. That for me would render the whole VC and sat nav screen useless. I use the directions in the HUD and the screens show the context from the earth overlay.

Will be mighty miffed if they allow this to disappear.

This doesn't seem right but reading through all those threads it implies Street View is disappearing (which only works when your stationary anyway) and I've never used it.

However Google earth is constant on my nav on the mmi and VC and I'd be fuming if that went.

I already lost Aupeo! Music services when they binned that and it was quite good to be fair.

    More here

Google Earth/Google Street View going away...? - Page 3 - AudiWorld Forums

It implies it is true and Google earth will not work on any cars older than MY19 due to different hardware being required due to changes in googles software.

It implies it will stop in December 2020 (but some say December 2017) so if your planning on having your pee MY19 car into 2021 it won't work?

    Andy.

My A7 was in for some work last week and the dealer has applied a software update. I now can't get street view working anymore. The guys at the dealership couldn't tell me what the update actually did though.

Street view has stopped working in my Q3.
I called Audi CS, they told me that it had been " discontinued ".

Glad to see google earth was still working when I got in the car on 2nd Jan!

Hoping you’re right Andy and we’ve got until Dec 2020.
