I am just looking for some advise
I can get my standard a6 Avant Awx 130 Remapped to 160/165
Car is standard except for Egr blanking 345,000 kilometres

Is it worth my while or am I better of leaving the car alone,Am I really going to notice much of a diference? Is it a safe increase of HP for a healthy engine?

    Any advise appriciated
    Thanks

Yes , very noticeable and we're not just talking about performance , you can have it to 180 bhp if you want .

Everyone quotes the wrong factor it's torque that is most important here how much and how it's delivered .

Can i really push it that far with everything been basically stock?
I am going to cut the cat out will this let the car breath slightly better?
What do you think is a safe torque limit to reach?
I am more interested in a progressive delivery of power if possible,More overtaking without having to drop a gear sort of thing

    Thanks for the feedback Gaz

    Like I said " torque and it's delivery. "

Most 160-165 maps are around 288 ftlb , on the smaller 5 speed 228 mm clutch this is more strain than the 6 speeds 240mm clutch .

If either clutch is recent then all good .

A well used clutch won't hold out .

Out there are high bhp not as high torque maps that are incredibly linear and clutch friendly .

    Know exactly what you mean
Mine is a 5 speed Awx so i am sure its 228mm
Not sure on how recent clutch is,Only own the car over a year however the clutch does not seem to give any trouble
Thats not to say its not worn
Not a high torque map and linear to be clutch friendly sounds like what i would be looking for
I guess i could ask for exactly that,I assume the fellas remaping will know a healthy car from a pile of scrap anyway
    Hopefully anyway ha!
