Battery low on 3.0 Tdi

Um, have you sorted out the hot terminal in the engine bay yet? It's a fairly common problem on the C6. I had it, and so have many others. You either replace the cable between the starter and the junction box in the rain tray terminal box (this piece of cable includes the terminal), or you recrimp, or solder it. Mine got hot enough to start melting the red plastic cover.

I chose to solder mine. Got it nice and hot with the torch, drowned it in flux, then let the solder flow. Now it's cool to the touch after starting and hardly any voltage drop between the starter and the battery.

No I haven’t. I’d completely forgotten about that bit. I’ll check to see if it’s getting warm.

hi had similar issues with audi a3. battery voltage kept dropping .when car started battery light would go out.
had a poke about found sense wiring on top of alternator was loose (broken plug) cable tied it all back and its been fine since.hope this helps.
