    Fingers crossed for you.

One of these is just plain excellent, a quick glance tells you what is going on, I have one of these in all my cars.

Hi! I have also had some issues with low battery on my C6. Occassionaly the MMI shows 10% battery level, and all comfort functions are switched off. Changed to
OEM Varta battery and coded it in, measured for all kind of power drains without finding anything. The local Audi dealer finally found the issue. Sometimes when you pull out the key
from the ignition, the steering column doesnt register this, and keeps the CANBUS live wihtout going to sleep. The solution was to change out the entire steering column,
and this was supposed to be a common issue.
Guess what Audi quoted for the parts... yeah about 1900EUR only for the part... Well I found one second-hand for about 1/8 of the price. Hope that one doesnt have the similar issue

Another update to my issue. I had the battery replaced in December and the car has been behaving fine. However I didn’t use it last week so it sat on my drive for six days without being used.

I came to use it today and the doors were already unlocked. Can’t be 100% certain I had locked it, but don’t normally forget. However the boot was still locked. I have it set so one press of the fob unlocks everything including the boot.

I got in the car and there was absolutely nothing. Couldn’t even get the key back out. I took a multimeter to the charge points under the bonnet and it read 2.82v!! I connected a battery charger but it wouldn’t play ball as the battery was so low. In the end I jumped it from a jump pack, left engine running for half an hour, and then turned it off and plugged battery charger in. Charger seemed happy to charge it from then on.

Does the fob have separate boot button?
How many buttons are on the fob(2 or 3)?

The fob does have three buttons, so a separate boot one. But I did set it up in the vehicle settings that the boot unlocked with the other doors, so only one press of the main unlock button.

I have just remembered that the previous owner told me that the vehicle was fitted with a Trackstar Tracker (who are now called Teletrac Navman). I wonder if that could be draining the battery. They still had him listed as the owner because they called him last week to see if he had disconnected the battery. When he said he no longer owned the car, the closed the account and turned the sim off.

I’ve taken it to my trusted garage for them to investigate. Wonder if I’d have just been better off paying the tracking company £80 to come and remove it.

I think Singhl has saved me a lot of money and headaches. I’ve had my A6 for over a year and have the dreaded battery drain issue. I’ve had a new battery fitted and it didn’t cure it. Had the car in a garage for a few days on a parasitic drain test. They said it was either the MMI amp or nav draining the battery.

I then bought a charger and hard wired the connector to the battery and trickle charged it every night.

I now took it to my independent garage and mentioned the software update for the Battery Manager module. He looked into it and updated it for me. Cost £60 of which most was to pay Audi the licence so he could do it.

I only use the car every now and then. Have now used it twice in the past fortnight and no drain issues.

So the car has been good as gold for two or three months now since I had the battery manager software updated. I went to unlock the car today and nothing. It’s showing just over 3v. I have hooked the car up to my CTEK charger and left it. However the dash warning lights are still on but flickering/pulsing whilst it’s charging. Is that normal?

You should not charge battery while having ignition lights on.It could be central locking draining the battery, how about going back to the guy who up dated battery soft ware and explain the issue.
