Hi folks, we were in the Lake District this weekend and it pretty much rained every day, Sod's law the wipers went coming out of Grasmere a good few hours from Scotland!
Had a quick look and couldn't do much grabbed some rainx at Halfords in Penrith and got home no issues (worked quite well actually).

Anyway the car is 2008 and the linkage says 2011 so it's obviously be done before!

Euro car parts don't show much online it looks like you replace the full linkage system rather than the one rod that is shot what a pain.

I had to use a puller on the wipers to get them off and was suprised how much pressure it took and penetrating fluid!

Remember this happened with my dads Carlton 22 years ago and it was £1.45 for the linkage arm from the dealers!

you can get a repair plate on ebay for £10 which stops the linkage popping off.

thanks, I had a look at them, are they any good, my linkage where it connects at the motor is very worn in the black platic collar? I see how they work but would it do be a bit rough? I guess its worth a try.
There are two types one bolts on the other is a clip - apart from driling (not an issue) which would be better?

A lot of the full linkages online seem to be for left hand drive, I was happy to get a new one on Amazon for £45 however even after stating its RHD its actually for LHD! Very annoying!

I'm going to take the chance to clean the centre wiper drain hole in the tray under the wiper and other leaves in the upper bulkhead!

The wiper plate that goes onto the windscreen seems tricky to get on is there a trick, the last person to refit it has really dog eared the edge getting it in!!

Mine went a few days ago, mid sweep. Drilled it and put a self tapper through the cup to hold it in place.

Removing the trim under the wiper arms is always a **** of a job though, especially when its cold and plastic gets more brittle....
