    Hello all,

I have a problem with my glovebox - I cannot open it from the switch under the power button for the MMI. I have changed the switch which did nothing and opened the glovebox manually. When I hit the glove box switch there is nothing. Could someone help me? Car electrics and electrics in general are not my thing.

    Thank you for our time

Can you hear the actuator working when you press the button?
If you can the cable has come loose or broken.
if not, it would suggest electrical. Could be wiring, could be fuse, could be a bad connection or the actuator for the glove box.
Is the glove box open? You need to take out the glovebox to see the problem and three of the bolts that hold it in are under the lid at the top. (Unless it's the fuse. Check this first)
    The other two are underneath.
I am sure there will be a way of opening the glove box manually but I cannot think of it at the moment.
If I do I will message you. (Ha you know how to do this)

Thank you for your reply - I cannot hear the actuator working so I guess I will have to check the fuse - I don't suppose you know which one it is do you?

No, look behind the fuse cover. There is a key there.

Just to close this one out - I had to replace the actuator and all was good - 2 bolts on the door sill and 2 behind the unit in the foot well and it all popped out. Fitted new actuator and re-installed and all is good. thank you for your help
