Hello I appear to be receiving a p0670 error from a pals OBD2 meter.
I’ve done a bit of research and I’ve found that it could be a number of issues.
First off, how do I check the glow plug harness? Is it a visual or do I need some equipment?

Secondly could anyone give me a part number for the glow plug heater control unit - just in case that’s the issue.
    Thanks for any help.

Might be an idea if I give you a clue as to what car it is...

The glow plug heater control module?
I thought that was under the battery carrier.

Right. It’ll have to wait until next weekend when I can see.
It’s not really struggling to start, I’m just sick of seeing the engine management light stuck on.

While I’m here, have you any idea if the Exide battery can be topped up? Or should I give it an overnight charge? (Start/stop not working).

ElsaWin calls it Automatic Glow Period Control Unit (J179), on left under E-box, 461 from August 2006 identification number 457.

There are fuse for this. Use a Digital Volt Ohm Meter (DVOM) to test the wiring.

I have 2012 Golf 1.6 TDI-CR BlueMotion Fuses & Relays 5K122Z CAYC 2008-2011. If you want a copy PM me?
