    A new genuine DPF is 1K0 254 703 FX and is £1777.37 inc VAT plus fitting and if the sensor needs replacing that could be another £100.19 depending on what it needs, then you have to fit it, re-flash and then calibrate. Basically not much chance of any change out of £2500...

    Yeah that's not happening only bought the thing for not much more than that!!

    I have been whinging on about it for years and it seems to be catching on that journo's in mags are now starting to give the message that a once expensive now cheap car does not cost less to fix when it gets old and cheap to buy, in fact it cost more to repair and maintain , much more, than when it was new so you have to look at it this way, it is a £2500 job on a £25000 car. The sooner people grasp this the better.
