    Thanks A6S.

I popped into Audi today and they said that doesn't seem right. Rear pads never go first. They're looking at it next Tuesday, and said if it does need new pads and discs (as the discs are worn too, just from a quick inspection but the service chap) then it's £555. I was like yeah right. It needs checking to make sure something isn't binding but I said I'm not paying your prices. He said they'll price match (but only with a written quote) but we'll see where we get to next week....

    Good shout in that website.

TRW discs and pads for £115.30

BREMBO discs and pads for £138.26

They seem to have 23% off for black Friday which makes those prices pretty damn good.

Both sets of pads include the wear sensors too.

Just need to run it to an Indy garage to get fitted.

I got full set all round disc and pads for £280 delivered. All trw.
Check your service book for build pr codes it’s 3 characters. Then find the right pads and discs for your car. There’s hundreds of variations of disc pads combo for the c7.
I found it easier using the Brembo/trw catalogue and then searching for part number on that sight.
That discount price varies from 10% to 23% and every day it’s different

Getting them to price match is near on impossible, as who will give you a written quote, as they know full well what you are using it for.

On my last A6 the 245bhp 3.0, the rear pads needed replacing approx 4 wees after the fronts. I now have the BiTDi, am on 14k, so will take a look at teh pads over the weekend, but I gt good mileage out of the last car as I'm mainly motorway driving, but less so now.

I replaced both myself, used VCDS to back off the handbrake, but never got a staright answer of if the rear caliper piston just pushes back in or screws in.

Price match will only happen if it’s audi genuine parts. They will never match it to trw or Brembo. Parts for rears alone is £400 ish.

That's what Audi said. I'll get Audi to check there aren't any problems as the service guy said himself my front pads have like 10mm (ish) left on the pad but the rears don't at all and that isn't right. He did also mention the wear and tear warranty period but we'll see what's caused it. I won't have the pads done with them.

Random question, does anyone know if they price match tyres compared with online quotes from local fitters (i.e. fully fitted prices, not tyre suppliers)?

Some dealers price match tyres but it’s not an Audi policy like the servicing.

Remember, you need to find out what the issue is or replacing the pads and discs will be an expensive pastime.
