    Evening all,

I have a 2012 Avant SE with the standard halogen reflector headlights fitted. The light output isn't brilliant, I've tried the nightbreakers and have some Philips lamps in at the moment. I have been contemplating fitting some LED headlight bulbs.
Has anyone had any experience of them and do you think its worth it? Or should I put up with what I have until I change the car in couple years time.

    Thanks in advance

It’s like those hid kits out there. Light output is good and your visibility will improve but you will blind all oncoming traffic as the reflectors in the lens wasn’t designed for it.
Not sure if they are road legal anymore and it will most likely trigger a a faulty light warning.

I was hoping the LED's wouldn't glare as much as the HID kits would, otherwise I'd throw a set of them in. Apparently reading up on the LED's the bulbs focal point is same as halogen and differs from the HID bulbs which have the discharge tube in the wrong plane.

LEDs bean pattern won’t be as round as a halogen bulb. It’s made up of multiple bulbs therefore there will be bright and dark spots. The reflector in the lens is looking for a round tube light which will give an even light all round.
Might be better off fitting some higher wattage bulbs. The fuse and cables should take a 70w bulb. Just fitted a set of ring 130% on my dads car and they seem pretty good in the dark.
