2010 Polo replacing nearside headlamp bulb because I cannot get my hand anywhere near the rear access port.

    2012-04-06 12.07.06.jpg

The only YouTube vids I could find show the same model but the offside unit being removed with little effort.

I have removed the two top T30 screws and the unit is lose but held at the bottom.

So whats holding the unit in at the bottom.

Does the bumper have to come right off or can they be reached without.

Further to my question, my daughters Polo is the MK5 6R model shown in my OP.

This is a picture of the underside of a passenger side unit for this model (lifted from ebay). There are no bolt fittings just what appears to be 2 slots. This seems to agree with one or two youtube videos which show the guy undo the top two bolts and then slide the unit out.

Ahhhhh, there are no lower bolt fixings on the MK5

Volkswagen Workshop Manuals > Polo Mk5 > Vehicle electrics > Electrical system > Lights, lamps, switches outside > H7 headlights > Removing and installing headlight > Removing headlight

I will give it a little more umphhhh today.
