Hi. New member here, very grateful for all the previous posts, regarding similar issues people have been having.

However, just a few quick questions, EML has been on for 12 months or so, no issues with driveabilty or loss of power, just a poor idle and loud shutdown. After searching for possible problems, realised it was the issue regarding throttle body/IMF. Fuse 24 has blown, replaced, and blown again. Want to carry out the work myself, not a mechanic, but very hands on especially with the use of Google and YouTube.

Only issue I have, is obviously all car models are laid out differently in the engine bay, I can't seem to 100% locate the area of the throttle body, I have an idea of location, if I post a picture, could someone point me in the right direction.....

Also, main dealer have quoted me £450 for throttle body, I've seen on ECP that it is at least half that price, any reason why? Apart from not being a VW genuine part? Just wondering if the ECP item doesn't come with another part of the system.

Also, everytime I start engine, and drive off, the STOP check coolant warning comes on...... rectified by switching off, re-starting and it clears, this happens everytime I start the car, but has got worse recently with the colder weather. I have checked the fluid and levels, all fine. I assume it's a sensor issue, and I'm picking a part up from main dealer tomorrow, which is a new tank and sensor for £23. Has anyone had this problem before and doing this fixed the issue?

Many thanks for any replies,20171121_100655.jpg 20171121_100655.jpg

The V157 is where you indicate, after the boost hose and before the EGR valve. There are pattern and OE aftermarket V157 valves, VDO made the originals.

Did you manage to sort out the coolant issue? Hoping a new tank and sensor will sort it, so irritating having to turn engine off and on again, only ever used to have to do it once, now it's 3 times at least.
