Why wont these wheels fit

I had these wheels on my mk5 golf
And they will not fot on my b7 avant.

The wheels fit not problem
The issue the holes dont match up.

Holes on the hub seem further away from the centre, where as the holes on the wheel seem closer to centre ..so when i line the holes up i cant get the bolt in as the holes are slighly overlaping

..again i thought audis and vw both had 5x112 stud pattern, so they should fit my audi

Picture shows same wheels, black are mine and i had these on the golf
Silver is from the internet showing a better image of them
They are called Nuvolari

Any help?

A Golf 5 (type 1K) and your A4 (type 8E) are both 5x112 M14 so something doesn't make sense. Is there are VAG part number on the wheel under the cap?

Think mine are reps
But 100% fit straight to my golf
It has me so confused lol

Quite possibly
But i got some audi rotors put on the golf and they went on no problem.

Is the car jacked up high enough? It seems u are hitting the ground w/o knowing it and trying to come on at a angle.. trust me..ive been there

Maybe something is aftermarket on the B7. All of my rims fit B6+7, 4B+C(A6), MK4, MK5....no issues. Hell, they even fit the D3 A8.

Wheels look like the older 5x100 pcd. I'm guessing the golf has adapters fitted to accept the older vag wheel pattern.
Centre of rotation (hub) to center of stud 50mm for old vw and 56 for newer
