    After torrential rain I returned to car after football it had little battery charge and struggled to start once it was going no problem started ok battery charged had it fully checked no issues on starter alternator battery is only 2 months old.
    l know there are issues with water in footwell had replaced convenience unit in past and have just replaced it again after diagnostic check . It did same again this morning weather damp but not heavy rain been told might need a cam bus check any advice greatly appreciated.

    Make sure that all your doors are closing properly and switching off the courtesy lights on the doors and in the footwells, as well as the main lights if you leave them in the standard central position.

    My front passenger door has a problem where it won't latch properly 8 times out of 10 and constantly needs oiling, when it doesn't latch the lights stay on all night and come morning the battery is very drained.

    there are two drain holes, just pull out the rubber drains and have a peek in any boxes for mould or green gunge

    have you checked the battery for a dud cell (s) ? Its a free check & new batterys can have them
    VW POLO 2002 1.2 12v , Audi A6 2006 2.0 TDi SE , Skoda Fabia 1.4 TDi

    All 3 cars in the current fleet
