Does anyone else find the rain sensor totally useless? Changing the setting makes hardly any difference and the screen can be covered in rain before it sweeps. I find myself manually doing the wipers unless it’s really raining and I just have them on.
There surely should be some logic that says if the auto wiper is switched on by the driver it should sweep at least every minute or 2mins or whatever as it's likely to be raining at least a little if the driver does so.
The whole wiper set up is a big let down in my experience.

Yes I've had a couple occasions where the screen has been absolutely covered in rain and I've had to do a manual wipe, but tbh I had the same problem on my Passat, I kinda expected them to have sorted stuff like this out in this day and age, but I guess it's just one of those 1st world problems. ;-)

Just RainX all your glass(the one that you apply with a clean cloth-not the one that you put into washer bottle,as that one is c--p)--then there no need to use wipers at all as long as you doing more than 30mph, what ???---yes I am serious and yes it works a treat !!!!

When I had mine detailed, they put some coating on the windscreen too, but I have also used rainx and also aquapel with good results.

I don’t use the wipers that often and prefer to do the odd manual wipe or full on in heavy rain which is pretty rare.

I rainX all time--well once a month, and "never have too use wipers at all, even in the heaviest of rain--an we get plenty up here-even spray from hgv's I never have to use wipers" !!!!
