    I think my question is if it breaks something is Audi gonna cough up? So many things in modern diesels from turbos, injectors, dpf, sensors etc to break. Also if this 2 stroke oil gets mixed in the regular oil from the combustion process is it gonna cause detrimental effects to the components that require oil?
    I use v power or ultimate and have noticed the car runs quieter than no frills Tesco and the thing is if these fuels breaks something then likeliness is bp/shell/Tesco is gonna cough up as you used the product as instructed.
    If the 2 stroke provides similar benefits to premium fuels is it not cheaper and less hassle to fill up with ultimate/vpower?

    Using 2 stroke was a common theme on a Discovery forum. I used it whenever I used supermarket fuel but not if using the likes of Shell.

    Even now I use an additive when using supermarket fuel, and when I run out of that I will start using 2 stroke oil, but again not when using top grade fuel.

    For those thag say there is no difference in fuel, I once had an ex company 535. Totally disappointed in the fuel consumption, but over a year of using Shell diesel the economy improved noticeably. I summised that it had been run on cheap diesel for quite a while and was gummed up. The good stuff cleaned it out!

    I agree 100% Gazwould.. was having limp home mode problems with my 2003 A6 1.9 TDI 130 bhp AVF Engine .... then tried adding some 2T oil when refilling. Since the, after 15'000 + miles, no problems whatsoever, either limp home or any other engine faults. I was not sure what the ration should be ( but its on another post here ) so I kept it to 100 ml per tank ( would be anywhere between 55-75 Ltrs) so I can safely add a few more mls. BTW:- I am getting in excess of 600 miles to a 100% full tank, that's 1'000 Klms., has to be the most economic fuel efficient car I have ever had!!!Another plus ( or maybe not, depending on your personal viewpoint on emissions.... ) It does not have a DPF.............so no worries about it getting clogged fro the 2T oil.

    Way behind the times, best thing is duckfat, soluble in diesel, lubricates pump and injectors and you get a 59% increase in mpg. What's not to like?

    Hey this is getting silly now , everyone knows the best cetane , energy content and cleanest fuel is snake oil .

    Hi Jim , I'd be very impressed if it was sticking vnt overboosting limp mode the 2 Stroke sorted ?

    I had that once about 3 years ago , didn't think it would happen to me , egr disabled and 2 Stroke so less carbon to build up turbo , when it did I Mr Muscle'd it twice and not since had overboost limp . I didn't account for the carbon that would already be there and a change in usage with more shorter journeys , what the vnt needs is a good right foot blat when hot to keep cleaner .

    You can certainly dose it higher...

    10 Litre Diesel ---> 50 Ml.
    20 Litre Diesel ---> 100 Ml
    30 Litre Diesel ---> 150 Ml.
    40 Litre Diesel ---> 200 Ml.
    50 Litre Diesel ---> 250 Ml.
    60 Litre Diesel ---> 300 Ml.
    70 Litre Diesel ---> 350 Ml.
    80 Litre Diesel ---> 400 Ml.
    90 Litre Diesel ---> 450 Ml.
    100 Litre Diesel ---> 500 Ml.

    The 2 Stroke some have reported a halfing of the smoke opacity test , less smoke , less soot for a dpf to deal with .

    There can be no doubt this is true as I looked back yesterday at all the Boston print outs since 2011 , the first 3 on 2 different machines are almost 2.00.

    From 2013 on the same serial # machine we have nearly 2.00 , 2014 1.50 and thereafter around 1.00 one is 0.94 , this corrosponds with my occasional then total last 3 years 2 Stroke usage and therefore is conclusive

    I buy it in 5L now .

    Yes the AVF is a remarkable machine , pleasure to see 60+mpg on the MFA .

    Have you egr disabled , Jim ?
