    Hi

Got a 61 reg Q7 3.0 tdi sline and have noticed when the car is parked for a good few days the front drops slightly. I suspect the shock leaks and want to replace it. My question is there anything that needs to be done when replacing the shock? In particular I was wondering if the new shock once fitted fully will just fill itself when I start the car?

hi Shab ,i have never worked on q7 suspension but have done quite a bit on range rover sport, and have always found the leaks to be in pipes or fittings ,i always get under with gas detection spray or fairy liquid and water,i learned the hard way by replacing 2 suspension compressors before realizing they were over working and burning out due to leaks,im quite sure whatever the problem they will fill up by running car,if both sides of front drop quite sure it wont be shocks, good luck with it .
