Please can I be directed to the process of obtaining a second key for my brothers MK5 GTi Edition 30 2009 (3 button key fob)

Most expensive route is likely to be a local VW dealer. Get a quote from them, then try places like Timpsons, or local car accessory shops.
You could also Google car locksmiths in your area and see what they quote you.
Personally, I would be inclined to go the dealer route.

Try AA locksmiths they come to you much cheaper than dealer .
