Hi All,

I currently own a 2012 (61) VW Golf 2.0 TDi (140bhp) GT (Leather) 5d which according to the Parkers website is a group 19 car. However, I have realised that my insurer (Admiral) lists the car as VW Golf 2.0 TDI (140bhp) GT 5d, which is the identical car bar leather & stopped production in 2011 but a group 24 car. I have reviewed all documents (V5C, VW purchase invoice etc.) and the car is clearly listed as the Leather model. I also have a copy of the HPI check from 2014 which stipulates it is a group 19 car.

I imagine a five group difference would make some saving. Has anyone any experience of challenging this with their insurer?

Cheers!
