Hi I have a 2013 VW CC GT, just noticed that it has only one reversing light on the N/S, After checking the O/S reverse light there is a bulb in the housing ( I have swapped bilbs across, both work, checked all 5amp fuses, checked measuring blocks in VCDS both give same reading) . I have looked everywhere and seem to be unable to find out if this model should have both bulbs working or just one, I rang my local VW dealer explained the problem and they suggested I book my car in to be checked (Das Welt Auto warranty).
    Can anybody offer any suggestions.

Update, the car now displays a rear reversing light out message, I have just had the towbar wiring checked fully and ruled that out of the problem, the code displayed via VCDS is 01519 - BULB FOR BACK-UP LIGHTS RIGHT(M17)
010 - Open or short to frame.
after looking on some other VW forums (mainly american) it appears that the VW CC suffers from wiring breaks where the boot lid harness runs down the hinge and across to the inner panel, both ends of this cable are fixed.
I have the car booked back in at the main dealers again to have this issue sorted ( no doubt there will be a clause in the DAS WELT AUTO fine print that excludes this from the warranty). it seems to be a common fault with american CC's.

Update, turns out there is an issue with the cable that runs across the boot lid and down the boot lid support tube, at the end of the tube the boot lid wiring harness is attached to a plastic bracket, the constant opening and closing of the boot lid splits these wires, in my case about four of the wires had split. the part is approx £44 at VW, if you let them do the job its £100 diagnostic to tell you yes the cable is broke and then £200 plus part plus vat for fitting.
(videos are available on youtube showing how to do the job yourself.)
