21 Inch All Season Tyres

Wow! Out this morning a few miles around B-roads & town in Hertfordshire where we have 6-8 inches of snow this morning! Car was fantastic, on both last-night-gritted roads with packed snow on top, ungritted back roads and a couple of medium hills. I could feel the traction control a few times but I never had any long slides - the braking was excellent - and as long as kept slow progress in gear 2/3 things were fine. Main issue I had was avoiding all the other traffic as it was becoming carnage with 2wd-summer-tyre-clad-RWD-beavers and hatchbacks losing it and having to give up and abandon. Really appreciate the value of these tyres. I also tried the all season ones on a quick drive in the Golf and that was nowhere near as good, but still much better grip than most cars I saw. Photo is from a untreated car park, I had to help push a couple of other cars out. Stay safe out there today people.

Yep - but the slippy ones are the easiest to wrangle. Didn't learn that one on a BMW winter driving skills course...

There was a hot hatch boy racer in the car park / snow field just before I was there and he was doing donuts and sliding around intentionally. I tried with a bit of 1st gear welly :-) but actually found it quite hard as the traction control did such a good job. Didn’t think of turning it off mind...

Not quite as much snow up here, had to go looking for some snow covered roads to try it out. Same as you, no issues. Stopped on a few snowy inclines and got going easily, braking pretty good too. Felt really safe to me.

Wife seems happy with the Nokians, just heading out to a wintry Chatsworth House. She would have just stayed at home before.

Fair point Chesterfield. Anyway got the Nokian's fitted today, not a bad deal all in all. Next day delivery from Camskill and they are on at £301 each right now, minus a £10 voucher discount each for 4 currently. Then had ATS swap them over and tyre hotel the summers for £100. No discernible increased road noise so far on a quick bit of M-way home.

Did you have any problems getting your love2shop vouchers? I followed the steps they asked, e-mailed them Monday, but my card is still showing no credit.
