    Help you as much as i can , im a bit rusty with vcds though. I used to use it years ago. Im currently using ... cant remember what its called but its blooming brilliant. Spent 23 years on vws audis skodas and Seats. Last 2 years i have been working as an mot tester and work on everything now. Pm me your reg im sure theres another fuse to check . F7 maybe . Not the metal strip fuse but a normal type fuse.

    Check fuse F7 5 amp in fascia fuse panel. When you open drivers door its on the right of the dashboard.

    Did what you said, also checked all the fuses in that bord there all fine. I'm going to call VW tomorrow to see if I can get the original pump number.

    Its your pump . You can clearly see its running at 7.5 volts. Which is approximately half alternator voltage. So one of the two electrical bridges has failed inside the pump. There is no current displayed because the steering motor won't run on 7.5 volts.

    So what pump am I ordering? We know this was changed and didn't work and the number wasn't checked before ordering.
