My 130 gti has been fine , It had a new turbo fitted 6 months ago and has been fine untill yesterday . It now has a loss of power as if the turbo is not kicking in ??? MAF ???? , no eml lit on the dash , I have a cheap code reader which shows no error codes but showed no info next to the MAF on live data , does that mean the MAF is knackered ????

Clean the MAF sensor before writing it off. Take it off and carefully spray a few times with MAF cleaner through the mesh onto the sensor inside from both sides, allow to air dry and refit. Don't use any old spray, you can buy MAF cleaner online if not in shops.
Worth a try before looking at replacing more expensive stuff.

New MAF has sorted the power loss , the old one looked corroded inside it and had obviously failed completely
