    Hi folks,

Loving my new Q but really think the 20inch sline alloys look too small. I have a set of 21inch rotor arms from my A7 which will fit.

Test fitted them to the Q and I’m undecided. Think it’s because it’s got 30 profile tyres on them for fitting and also not sure on the shadow chrome finish. Think they would look better in bright silver.

    Thoughts...yay or nay!!

    cheers

I think they look good, but you’re right about the tyre profile. They’re not filling the arches with 30's on.
I would swap out the rubber and live with them for a while before changing up the colour. Keep the 20's for winter tyres and snow chains.

Yeah def need bigger profile tyres, they don’t look right with the low profiles.

@ahin4114 Good points. I like the chrome with blue? Personal choice of course.

Are the wheels off the A7 heavy duty? Just the vehicle weight may differ, the wheels may crack and cause punctures and if the wheels are not approved by Audi for the Q7 it may impact upon your insurance if the worst happens.
If the wheels are the same as the ones fitted to the Q ignore me.

Back of my head, something always tells me low-profile tyres are not for SUV - neither practical nor good looking. Just IMO.

I'm fairly certain that the OP, judging from what he wrote in the first post, is just checking out how they look before getting some deeper profile tyres for permanent fitting?!

Hi folks, thanks for the opinions!!! Gonna get a set of 285/40/21 tyres and put the rotor arms on. Will probably get them finished in bright silver later. As dghdgh mentioned re. the suitability of the A7 alloys, spoke with Audi and they stated they would be OK as long as the appropriate load rated tyres were fitted.

    Cheers
