DSG Clutch Pack

I’m just replacing the Clutch Pack on my 2007 Passat with a six speed DSG. I thought I had all the tools, however it appears I don’t have the T10303 tool The clutch retaining tool. Has anyone done the job before, and know whether or not I can do the job without it. Thank you

There is a YouTube video of a guy installing an upgrade pack to the 6 speed wet clutch DSG box without using the tool.

VW training video (German) using the tool but it's use seems of little significance except to check spacing or keep the clutch pack steady when removing / installing.

Did you manage without the retaining bar? About to replace clutch pack on my vw golf and again tracing this tool is a nightmare unless I want to get it from USA! Did you find it difficult working out which circlip to use on the clutch pack? Thanks
