My golf 2.0 litre diesel mk6 estate seems to have a faulty headlight range control switch as my headlights move up and down erratically while driving from start up and during the journey. I'm wondering if any other Golf Mk6 owners with the same setup have the same issue? My father has a mk6 1.6 Diesel and has exactly the same issue which is very strange. I can temporarily stop this by moving the headlight position switch on the dash from 0 to 1 but it is very annoying and I wanted to check if anybody knew if this is likely to be the switch at fault? There are no warning lights coming up on the dash.

You know, I have a similar kind of issue. Whenever I've driven my golf mk6 TDI, I've only ever noticed this when I'm at a red light. The head lamps tend to fractionally raise and fall. I've had the car since new and this has always been the case.
