    Default Missing Seal/cap? Help with part number – 02-10-2017,09:53 AM
    Hey all, new to the group and I need some help. I picked up this 99 golf mk4 for a screaming deal with the knowledge that it needs some work. Luckily, I haver the time and experience to make it happen.

    But, on this item Im stuck. The car is a 1.6sr with 5speed manual trans. As you can see by the photo, there is a missing plug or seal or bung from the top side of the tranny. I obviously want to replace this asap, but Im having trouble finding th part number. Does this motor/trans combination look familiar to anyone, and if so, can you point me in the right direction to a replacement??IMG_0006.jpg

    That is the plug for the timing inspection mark on the flywheel/box for setting valve timing. It is a 27mm plug with bung, I will look up the number but it has been the same since 1974.....

    020301129D is the green plug
    020301132 is the cover.
