    Hi all

    I have a 2011 VW Passat 2.0 TDI 170bhp Engine CFGB.

I had my air con re-gassed earlier today to find out that my compressor wasn't kicking in or I could have a sensor problem (this is what the garage told me), I still had to pay, but garage said I could return back and they release the gas if I was going to get the compressor changed and they would re-gas it again.

My question how do I go about finding out if its either compressor or sensor - would I be able to find this information via Ross Tech cable?
What is the part number for the compressor and sensor and how easy it to replace (any guides would be appreciated)

Thanks in advance for reading my post.

Had the sensor replaced on my A6. It was about £30 and was near the passenger headlight so the bumper had to be taken off. Little £20 code scanner told me it was the sensor.

What a tool I am, I've just gone and scanned the car and got some error messages. I saved the scan, but decided to erase the DTC and by doing so it rescans and I went and saved it which just writes over my previous scan
Clearing the DTC has displayed NO errors. AC not still working but, will give it over the weekend and re-scan the car on Monday.
