Anyone know where I can get the above for a 2012 A6. Can't find one anywhere (and don't fancy coughing up over £200 to audi for one)

    I think it's a C7 LH CVX

and yes, I know that the dirt cheap option is to replace with non-dimming, which is my plan B, but I'd rather have the dimming function if I can.

    thanks in advance

    Bob

thanks. I looked on ebay, but didn't spot that one. It's not quite the same as mine in convex and that's aspherical, but I can live with that.

just thought I'd share what I did in case it helps anyone else.

I missed the chance to pick up a mirror from eBay, but I was able to resurrect my existing mirror by

    • cutting away the rubbery coating covering the solder for the 2 pins delivering power to the mirror
    • resoldering the connections
    • recovering the connections with hot glue

the mirror is working again and has been for several weeks
