    Hi all.

seen some posts similar to this but not all have the same issues.

So she was driving on Saturday and the car just died. car cranks but doesnt fire.

Also, there are no lights on the dash apart from the lcd's. to accompany this the elec windows dont work. indicators and headlights dont work.

the only things that do work are the interior light and the radio.

so, car is currently being diagnosed. just been tokd theyve spent an hour trying to communicate with the car but as the car doesnt start they cant communicate with it

they have now stated that its going to take longer as its missing an ignition live. so they are going to have to trace through all circuits to find where its gone. thus resulting in more labour time.

asked if they had checked the power relay - "yeah we got loads of relays here that we tested with. yours is fine"

does this sound right to you guys? obviously i dont have vag com or anything so i couldnt check myself.

all help would be most appreciated.

    cheers guys

OK, just my first thought, going off the list off items that didn't work and those that did, and the fact the car just died the other day. Computer says no......

Not a quick job on a 9N, air bag off and plenty of potential for cockup such as disturbing the initial position of the air bag slip ring which is also an angle sensor on cars with ESP.
