My 2016 2.0 diesel quattro A6 has now done 24k miles. I had the tyres checked at the weekend and they still have 3mm tread all round so I guess I have a bit longer, will probably change in late October in time for the winter.
I honestly thought when I ordered it I would be changing tyres almost for a past time, so I am pleasantly surprised

the question is who's lasted the most miles on the first set?

I am on my first set on my 2015 ultra so can't provide a number yet. I wonder what tyres do you have on at the moment? I put Goodyear Eagle asymmetric 3 on mine.

The original Pirellis fitted on my 2014 BiTdi were crap so changed them quickly for Michelins. Got almost 40k mls out of them and the car was quiter, had much better handling and were sure-footed!

The new S6 has Continentals as standard which is much better than the Pirellis but not a patch on the Michelins!

I'm currently on 11k from new and no sign just yet - BE 20's.

My previous C7 was on 18's and went through tyres every 6k..

Maybe I've just got used to driving it now and not thrashing it anymore!!

First c7 18s fwd Bridgestone, 18k. Awful in wet.
Second c7 19s fwd Goodyear asymmetric 2. Brilliant tyre in wet and dry and traded it in with 27k in clock and still had 5mm on them.
Current c7 19s Quattro shared with a set of winters wheels. I reckon on the michelins PS3 I've done about 12-13k and they are all at 3-4mm. Not keen on these in the wet, not as sure footed as the good years. Good years were more comfortable than michelins and less noisy too.
Winter tyre Dunlop winter 3D. Done about 9k on these and there's still 6mm+ all round. Brilliant in snow, rain and dry. And very comfortable.
Looking to try the Goodyear asymmetric 3 next as the 2 was great in my experience.

I had a 2nd hand 3.0 quattro with pirelli on put 24k extra on them with no problems still had 3mm left. Set of winter Nokian tyres have put 24k on them and they are still at about 5mm. They were all 19 in.

My BE is on 20s and is now on 12K miles. Still have loads left on the factory fitted Bridgestones. This is my 1st quattro, so not sure if they are the best tyres TBH. Always been a fan of Continental contact 5s. My last C7 FWD had Pirellis on 19s from the factory and they lasted nearly 35k miles on the set, all motorway miles though. Audi rotated them at service so they all got to 3mm at the same time.
