Ah, fair enough, how easy /hard is retrofitting TV into a a6? And what's needed?

ok, sorry for not getting back sooner.

I have the motorola phone handset in the arm rest, I have to say the previous owner (only had one owner before me) took exceptional care of the car, so much so none of the buttons have any wear at all, the phone handset looks brand new, and strangely there is a small DVD remote control, but I have no idea what it would be for?

anyway, I like the idea of the handset, if it was not illegal to use it, in an ideal works, the socket for the handset would be changed so I could plug in my android, that would be a nice solution, but since thats not a likely option, I will look for the relevant BT module instead, and carefully remove the handset. The space in the armrest will certainly come in handy.

The model I have is a limo model (according to the V5) which explains the exceptional space for people in the back, and the handset. My car still has a complete and unused 1st aid kit in the rear armrest, I mean the inner bags are still sealed shut, lol.

This thread is only to advise you on the update, what you do with the phone set up is upto you if you are happy with what you have keep it if you want the advantages mentioned change it, as for the DVD remote what do you have in the boot DVD player wise? Also check your sources (there's a button that says TV click on it and what comes up?) glad your car has been looked after.... Unfortunately mine was previously owned by what appears to be a boss for a building company and had to much money so carried long lengths in it and had caused a little damage on the interior from doing so, yes a6 did come in a limousine model from what I know I'm unsure about it being any bigger /roomier as surely that would make it a long wheelbase and I've not heard of a a6 lwb but would be interesting to know the limousine version is bigger

I have not been in another to compare if I am honest, my old C5 A6 the space in the back was not anywhere near this one, Id say I have more than a foot of space, maybe 15" of space from the back of the drivers seat to the back seat, and I (the driver) am 6'2" so I dont have the seat that close to the wheel. I have to say the boot space is amazing, its like a tardis inside

Interior space makes it hard to tell as apart from how far back the seat is the adjustment of the back of the seat would have to be taken into account best way would probably be to park next to another C6, they are fairly spacious anyway and yes the boot in them is pretty huge as far as I'm aware this is to do with fitting a golfbag in it and also to help fit skis into the car (there's ski bags about for them)
They are a good car.. Mostly, all cars have faults
P.s if you are new to audi's and the a6 make sure you check your scuttle panel and that it's clear of leafs and debris and the drainholes aren't gunked up or water will flow into the car and when this happens it affects electrics in a few places so will cause a lot of problems and some are expensive to correct

Oh yeah sorry I wasn't thinking I hadn't told you what I have ha ha ha I have a saloon with 2g high but what does rvc stand for? I'm assuming it's the module needed? I can't answer that one at the minute but I'm assuming I'd be able to find out with VCDS?

You will need a new control head with an FBAS connector (Video in) Also will need CP removed for the Control head. (Must be from an A6, A8 versions won't work correctly on the A6)
    MOST & Power harness
Aerial, one for the rear window and I think on the saloon there is one on the side window (could be wrong about that)
Hybrid TV Tuner (No CP on TV tuners)
