    I'm an IT techie too.

Don't suppose you can go through the 'Red Menus.txt' I appended to an earlier post to see what devices you've got?

If you go to each device, note the Devicename and SW-Index and insert it as a new post, I can work out what levels you'll get off the 5150/5570 set.

Yeah on the version you are running you won't need the first disc but yes there is earlier versions on a6 mmi systems mine was at 4220 and I've seen much older versions, not sure if it would come up as invalid disc but your version isn't too much of a big jump, you also only need disc two with certain bluetooth modules (not sure if it's one type or two) but if you do run disc two make sure you run it twice as it wipes it the first time and loads it on the second time, yes it's not massively easy to get from a main dealer but is possible and you can ask for postage I got offered postage for 3 quid but by coincidence I was driving past the dealers the day it got delivered so picked it up, and run the engine while updating or the second spin of disc two will kill your battery (second time takes much longer)

Telefon Eu is the old Motorola module which uses the Audi handset, that pairs to the unit VIA bluetooth. However only the Audi handset can communicate to the Motorola module.

Ah I see, would I then be correct in thinking this guy won't need disc 2 of the update set (5570)?

Cannot remember, it's so old and useless, it's not worth updating. I would either stick an optical bypass or replace with a normal BT module.
