Hi Guys
Trying to sort my girlfriends 2004, 53 plate 2.0FSI with 93000 miles showing which is turning out to be a bit of a dog.
So the latest fault is that it has started to misfire badly and the EML is flashing.
I've read all the fault codes (it was showing 9 but these are the relevant ones):
1. Cylinder 1, Misfire detected, Sporadic
2. Cylinder 2, Misfire detected
3. Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected, Sporadic
4. Camshaft Position Sensor, Implausible Signal, Open Circuit
5. Bank 1 : Camshaft A (Intake), Retard Setpoint not reached (over advanced) Short circuit to another valve.

So I've checked all the plugs which are all gapped correctly and are a healthy grey colour.
I swapped coils 1 & 2 with 3 & 4, reset the faults, drove the car a few yards, and then re-read the codes.
Cylinder 2 misfire changed to cylinder 3 but cylinder 1 misfire remained.
This tells me at least one coil is faulty but can't work out why the misfire on cylinder 1 remains.
Any ideas/similar experiences would be much appreciated!
