hi all, i have a mk5 golf 2.0l petrol automatic with 81k on the clock and it wont start, ive checked the cams are turning when its cranking over and they are, i plugged it in and it came up with a code about the ABS, also ive noticed when its turning over the abs and traction control lights illuminate, could there be a fault with the abs pump causing it not to fire, it literally just turns over and over, dosnt even attempt to fire, it dosnt sound low on compression either , any help would be great, thanks

If that's is the only permanent fault (won't clear) then you have a power supply/ground or network fault with your abs module.
Can you communicate and read fault/s from the abs module?

its not a permanent fault though thats the crazy thing, but the ABS and traction control lights come on when cranking over, all the other lights go out, EML etc, when i went into the abs fault codes there wernt any.

Stream live data from engine upon cracking? Particularly engine speed. If u have a plausible signal/value, some further manual checks required.

update on this, my mechanic had a quick look at it today and there was a fuse gone under the bonnet, he replaced it and the car eventually started though was running rough and when i let my foot off the gas it pops and cuts out every time, it wont idle at all, he maybe thinks the belt has skipped a tooth ???
